Curious if anyone else replaced the stock car horn on their 200 series? Just recently acquired a 2020 and thought the horn sounded weak. Did a search and didn't see much if anything but could be my search was weak too. Any suggestions or endorsements of a ballsier horn most appreciated!

Check out hella horn. I don’t have any first hand experience, but a friend likes his.

Train horns need on board air (with storage capacity). I’d recommend against this option.

I put Hellas in.

Toyota makes a "Premium horn". It was one of the first and easiest upgrades I did on the 200. I ordered from Japan, can't recall the site.

You need two.

I bought one of these. I don’t know that they’re any different than stock IMO. They’re shaped the same and are the same physical size. They look gimmicky tbh. With that said - I don’t have a “before” vs “after” comparison to share.

I have Hella SuperTones in my Miata. Very loud.

In the first link I provided, they have two clips on comparison.

gotcha. sorry, I (clearly) didn't click it. Maybe I should check mine to see if I need to change shorts after use?

I installed a MotoHorn Train Horn with included compressor. Way louder than stock. I put it on a switch on my switch panel so can still use the regular squeaker horn for quieter uses.

Is there a difference between the LC200 and an LX570 horn?

2013 LX570. Horn (I believe stock) is loud af and not weak. How obnoxious are you trying to be?

Mine may not be stock then. I use my horn quite frequently and it is definitely on the loud side of any factory SUV/truck horn. MUCH louder than a compact car which I would usually associate with "weak."

That might be the ticket..... Thought the stock horn was OK, but not really attention grabbing like this is. Also a little spoiled as had train horns in my F250 and that always got drivers' attention!

The Hellas sound kinda tinny or to high pitched, more of a squeal to my ears.....
