nissian diesel to a toyota pickup ?

do you think a 1981 diesel out of a nissian pick up 2 wd .. will fit into a 1980 toyota 4x4 ? i have a chance to buy one.. Can anyone help .... not so smart when it comes to toyotas but learning fast hha

That's a very loaded question... Short answer: Yes, I'm sure it will fit in the engine bay...

Long answer: The question is going to be how will you hook it up to the Toyota running gear, I've never seen this swap before, so you may be going where no one has gone before... Is it possible? Probably, but how much is it going to cost if you have to have a custom adapter made etc....

Hi,

If you decide to install the RD28, here is my site where you will find valuable information:

RD28diesel_Good_Engine_for_Conversion

If you have an engine with only 50k km, take it! Check it before, of course. It is a smooth, quiet engine for its generation, and if driving at 70 km/h you will get about 20 km/lt. I get about 14 km/lt at 100 km/h with my car.

Good luck,

Oldbeaver
