I don't think he is in town yet but should be soon enough.

We have PMed about his arrival/LC party meet! Hahaha

No, still stuck here for the time being. Paperwork is moving like a snail over salt right now, but it is moving. Should be there some time in December since closing will fall so close to Thanksgiving.

On the plus side, the delay in paperwork is giving me more than enough time to fix what I need on the 60. She's running pretty strong right now after going line by line on the Emission FSM and making sure everything is hooked up correctly and little to no vacuum leaks exist.

About all that's left now are the brakes (got all the parts, just need the motivation) and to get some new tires on her. Funny thing is, out of everything I've fixed on it so far, replacing the liftgate shocks is probably the one I'm happiest about. I had a 2' section of clothes pole that I'd been wedging in there for years...

Hit me up via PM if you need help moving in or anything. I'm willing to work.

Safe travels man. We be waitin!

So... does this still happen? Because that would be my place of employment.
The AVL folks haven't been too active lately. Some have moved away and some have had kids/life/etc get in the way, but there are still quite a few of them around. Maybe this post and warmer weather will get them hopping again.

Yeah, Upstate Cruisers and ONSC usually make Sierra Nevada a rendezvous point on any trips to WNC, and many of us visit there on our own.

What do you drive? Did you just get it?

If you’re asking me, I had a 00 LX470 up until I found this forum... hilariously enough. I picked up an 02 Tundra after. It’s just the kid, dogs and myself - enough space for us and a little more use. I do miss my old gal, though.

Whoever makes it to Sierra Nevada next, ask the shaved headed chick in the Taproom for a high five. Be prepared to briefly be scowled at until I remember asking for this.

Tag me for any future meet ups - I, of course, will be supplying the beer.

Also, anyone go to the trails on Brown Mountain? My buddy and I were going to take the truck (and his dirt bike) up there in a week or three.

Wait, so you're saying I can walk in to Sierra Nevada and someone that works there will briefly pretend that they know me??!?? If you agree to call me Norm loudly and have all your co-workers do the same, it would make my day :)

That’ll be $10 cash paid directly to each employee you’d like to loudly shout, “Norm! How the hell are ya?!”

I'll settle for a confused high five from the shaved head chick in the tap room :)

Meet and Greet this weekend at Uwharrie/Albermarle come meet lots of LC folks.
See active thread this forum.
Hope ta meet cha.

This is the opening of wheeling season for most of us. Finalizing the trail prep for opening at the end of March. Some trail maintenance, camping glamping, eating and talking about Land Cruisers. Maybe miscellaneou shooting and occasional beer drinking and lie telling.

I wish I could make this! I think I briefly saw details; refresh my memory? I’m pretty sure it is about 150 miles away from me; and being in the beer cult requires I work on busier days - the weekends.

Yer about three hours in AVL from URE, more in a 40.
This is more a social event than wheeling and also some trail maintenance and last-minute trail clearing. The Uwharrie NF trail system opens at the end of the month if we and the other volunteers have it ready.
Come see. Looky loos loved here.

I have moved to AZ I know the upstate guys did it a lot more often then ONSC just because of proximity there was only a handful of us in WNC. I miss it all the time out there.
