nononnoonno. that is head liner. HOOD liner.

Checked out some classifieds page called Cruizer List...

...or something like that this AM, but I was hung over and couldn't concentrate very well. It is cold too so I got back in bed. Anyways, Google FJ40 hood liner and you see the classifieds listed there. I saw a really cool BJ40 from Ecuador that was really neat-o and expensive. In fact, lots of expensive FJs on there.

I gotta get my dang Directv back online now. It hates ice and wind.........

Do you have to have FJ40 specific or are you just looking for underhood insulation? I've seen hood insulation for sale before that is cut to fit...

Oh, and cold and ice in Dallas????? You should come to Denver right now to see some cold and ice :)

Yeah I saw that CO is gettin' blasted. Sucks to be skiing half the time, I know. Now on to important things. Where do I see this cut to fit hood insulation?

Come to an LSLC meeting, Nick Stone's BJ has one.......factory, evidently to dampen the noise from the diesel.....

Here is a quick search of Jegs on 'insulation'...I imagine other places carry it as well.

Just a thought if your just wanting the insulation/sound deadining, and your willing to go aftermarket. I would try a local car audio shop in your area, I've done some work for a installer in my area and he uses a producted called bead board (I think anyways) and the stuff is amazing for sound deadining.

BJ Hood Liner

Hi all!
Yes, my BJ42 (1984) does have one.
I'm restoring now the BJ(keeping it as original as possible!) and so asked the price of new by the Toyo dealer here in Germany: he told me that it costs the double of any other Toyo truck: 420€ (500+ US$)......

The question is if one really needs such an expensive part for his cruiser?
Does it really reduces the level of noise for the passengers?
Or was just a gimmick of the early '80s?
