Anyone have the 4x4lab bike rack that retains the front wheel?

If you have this bike rack from Luke at 4x4lab, please post up some pics. I need to get an idea of the size, height, etc.
Thanks.

Here’s a few pictures on the Internet.

I'm hoping to see some closeup shots of the two bikes that are mounted with their front wheels attached in the vertical orientation.

Probably not what you are looking for but I built a drop hitch extension for my 4x4 labs bumper. With just the rack installed, the arms will swing open.

Which 4x4lab bike rack do you own - remove front wheel or retain front wheel? If it retains the front wheel, may I have couple of pics of that please?

I have a 4x4 Labs bumper with a hitch extension and Raxter single bicycle rack. It holds the bike horizontally, not vertically, and doesn't require removing wheels.

thanks, that wouldn't work for me as I tow a trailer.

If you don't already have a 4x4 rear bumper, the one that is in the works from dissent has an option for a 2" receiver in the swingarm for a bike rack.

Nah, no need for an actual rack - more weight and stuff. Just making a swing arm for the rear bumper and wanted to see if I want to order Luke's deal if I can convince myself of the design and quality of the unit is decent.

If you get it, post up please.

apparently nobody in this forum has this particular bike rack where the front wheels are left on the forks. Who'd a thunk it? :hmm:

Me lol. I inquired on another thread about it too about 6mo ago

Sure I can do that but that's not the point of this thread! :flipoff2:

I'm just thinking the problem from a different direction. If your receiver is taken up by a trailer, problem solved.

I have an ancient Yakima rack. I have to use an extension to get it past the tire and carrier. Because it doesn't swing out and only lays down it is a PITA to access the back. It works and gets bikes to camp. I think that I will ultimately weld a 2" receiver on one of my swing outs to make it less of a PITA
