Anyone have pics of led light bars on their 40?

I think they look "correct" on roof racks or in bull bars (like the Icon)

oh yeah, i completely second that

i think im gunna take mine off and sell it..... its nice having the light output but im not liking the looks anymore

funny cuz i thought it looked sooo amazing when i got it :meh::bounce:

The glare from light bars mounted high like that is quite amazing as well...

I have 2 8"ers on the junker. One at the front bumper mounted a little off to one side (cause unsymetrical is the new symetrical) and one mounted to a hinge and attached to the cowl vent so it pivots/retracts a little. This was done so the wind shield can still be folded down. Also have a set of round led lights at the w/sh hinges.

They will be wired to a set of stock light switches, 1st pull the bumper leds will light up 2nd pull both will light up. The second switch will control the w/sh lights, 1st pull a pillar will light up (like a cop spot light lol) 2nd pull both will be on.

The round ones do look better but i dont mind the bars much at all. Havent driven it yet so cant give any impressions. The bars are ebay specials with 4 10w cree bulbs in each one.

Was thinking about going that route for mine as well. The old yellow round eyes don't quite cut it. Best thing about LED's is you can run much smaler wires off existing circuits. Less power draw.
My son's good friend in Oregon is trying to get his business off the ground. I am probably going to buy from him.
I am going to give him a plug if you don't mind. He is a good guy working his way through college.

I had these lights from another project so I put them on the 40. Didn't think it would look right but I was wrong. They are flood lights and very bright. Lights up the tops of trees as I drive by. I wired them through a solenoid to the high beams so I don't blind people.
Also converted the head lights to Hella replaceable halogens wired through a Painless Co. relay kit. I can see at night now.

I thought about light bar, but decided to go with Truck-lite LED head lights. They will work just fine for me, way more light than the stock ones.

Bump... lets see who's added a bar/LED pod in the past two years.

Found a 20" Rigid E-Series locally for half price and I am considering jumping on it and replacing my Halogen Hella 4000 130w lamps.

This thread reminds me of the Hella poster from the 90's. The one that shows a rotted out '40 in the Aussie outback with a frilled dragon. I'd love to see that again! Simi hijack over.
