Anyone have an Alpine 9857 or other CD that has a fold down face in their 60? (1 Viewer)

Looking at putting a cd player in, specifically the Alpine 9857 and was wondering about the fold down face considering it is a tight pocket on the 60's. Anyone have this unit or another fold down face unit and can tell me if it clears the space in the 60?

I had a Pioneer flip down face and it was fine, no problems at all.

Pioneer flip-down here too. PO had already put in a divided plastic thinger (he had an Alpine), so it was a tight squeeze, and I had to leave off the new stereo bracket, but it worked.

The only s***ty thing was the Pioneer unit itself, IT WAS A POS!!

I have an alpine w/ fold down face-not sure ofthe model but had it for about 4 years-great unit no problem with install since I had it done by the stereo store...

I have an Eclispe folding CD in my 60, fits no problem....but some depending on how they fold down might not fit.

Kenwood FlipDown

I have a kenwood CD player with a flip down front...PO installed it and has a plate to cover the hole as the Player was smaller than the width but a little longer that the dash....I have learned to live with it, but if I had done it it would have looked alot cleaner.....other things on my list of stuff to do first....have fun...

I put my eclipse right in the tuffy consol...those things are great...I think everyone should have one.

THe reason I went with the eclipse 5425 is for the incredible ability to absorb shock...they demo this thing in a paint shaker....I've never had it skip on me
