Surf N Turf 2008 - Caravanning From Torrance

I was told this was THEEE event to make it to if you are a Toyota 4x4 enthusiast and especially if you are a Landcruiser Freak.
I really want to go, and would be interested in creating a pit stop location at my shop/warehouse for all those caravanning from south of Los Angeles and heading north. Let me know if you would be interested, and at what time you think would be good to meet up. I could bust out the BBQ for everyone, and my lot has space for a bunch of rigs. The location is right off of the 110 freeway near the 405 junction in the Torrance / Carson corridor. :steer:

Nothing pairs better with a bottle of Merlot than an honest workout digging in the sand and my shovel is always ready, lol :flipoff2:. BUT, I think Brent is interested in joining our team, toward digging in better cause for action.:grinpimp:

Not to speak for anyone, but as with most events. Everyone tends to want to just get there and then proceed with the bbq and festivities. I am North of the 110 and leaving on Thursday night, big the bbq to Pismo SoCal

Exactly! I am thinking about using a pair of zip ties, in place of my limit straps. They should be able to withstand the force of my whole suspension unloading, no? lol :grinpimp:

Thanks for the gracious invitation! I'll be leaving MV mid-day on Friday, hoping to get to SNT as early as possible Friday evening. However, your shop and barbecue sound like a great opportunity for a "Meet & Greet" at a later date.

I hope you can make SNT, it's a blast! This will be my 3rd year, and I hope to attend every future SNT.
 
Is anyone bringing a long board I can commandeer for a few runs during the weekend? Anyone know where to find a cheap used longboard for a 210 lb 6'5" giant?

There is a transmission at Proffitt's Cruisers in Colorado that I am thinking about purchasing. is anyone going through or near Colorado that wants to make some cash and pick it up for me and bring it to SnT?

You should DEFINITELY contact and post on the mudship and the SnT thread on the trails and expedition sections. There are pple coming from CO
