Yeah, the Pozo Saloon is one of my favorite places to visit when in that area.

Good morning everyone. I'll be heading to surf and turf this year and I wanted to check in. I live near Magic Mountain in Valencia. I'm looking to caravan up on Thursday night or friday morning for SnT 08.

Spoke with RFJTOY last night. His schedule is dependent on any tests his son may have on Friday. If none, we may leave Thursday evening or more likely Friday after rush hour. If he does than he won't be able to leave until at least 1 on Friday.

Ask your son to sacrifice. My teachers would let me take it early but that was in college. I'm assuming he is in AP Calc as a senior in HS? That may be harder to get around...
Jeff is a smart cookie and will to fine on the exam!!! Besides, he's an EAGLE SCOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure everyone will start chiming in as the days get closer. I bet this forum will be hot potatoes the last 2 days before the event. Anyways, I'm in for caravan and I'll check back to see what we can do as a group. Caravaning up with a bunch of people may take longer but I think it would be a lot of fun.

Guys, I am signing up for this trip. I plan to take the Fri and Monday off and drive up late Thursday. night and bro out with old friends in Los Osos and Morro Bay on Fri. Then hopefully find the So Cal 80s crew on Saturday....so I will follow this post closely...Gives me a bit of time to prep and plan for this. Then I will take my time driving south on Monday after a morning surf hopefully.
First I've seen your new avatar. I can see you're a movie buff. Buono, il brutto, il cattivo., good choice. I think I will still end up getting out of SD around 6:30 am on Fri. Keep an eye out for the 10" SoCal80's stickers on my rear windows.

Lol, yeah "Tuco" from The Good The Bad and The Ugly was as classic as they come..He stole the movie with his smart ass comments. I am not really too much of a movie buff but I do like the spaghetti western classics...down to the music...

We were going to head out there regardless of the rig we were in. However plans have changed. We are now running a remote trail in Arizona. You guys have fun on the beach and i look forward to seeing all the photos of the rigs/food!
