Nothing to be sorry about, bro. No one likes giving bad news (except weathermen). You are doing your job and exactly what i voluntarily asked you to do. I plan on keeping the truck for a long time. All good. Thank you!

heard that. don't feel bad. i've thrown an obscene amount at my LX this year....not including the extra set of tires and wheels....:(

s*** happens. All in good fun. Better to figure it now than at crawl, etc.... The ironic thing is that rob asked me why i was coming in. I told him "nothing major, just my pre-crawl, well baby visit and brakes felt soft."

As i was leaving he was like "yeah those mushy brakes may be your booster."

Me (clueless): "so whats that going to run me?"

Rob: "chris will call you"
So Pmc, did you just have a mushy brake feel or did you have the much-maligned total brake failure? I more than casually think about the possibility of this issue on my high-mile 100.

Mushy brakes for several months now. For example, slightly over-running stop signs; Having to apply extra brake pressure to get a stop when exiting interstate ramps, etc... Rob did a casual inspection on my last visit (early summer) and said the brakes themselves looked fine (that's why he knew to dig deeper when I brought it back in with the same complaint).

You will know it when it starts to happen. You will repeatedly say "s***, I almost ran that stop sign."

Anyone got any leads on a top shift transfer case for a w56b (1987 4Runner 5spd)? My Marlin HD w56b is arriving in the mail tomorrow, it's just transmission and bellhousing. No transfer case or shifter lever for transmission. Need to hunt those down to install. I even have a new clutch kit too, so I'm pretty anxious to get it in.

If anyone is interested, I'll trade my entire G52 5spd transmission from bellhousing to transfer case for a top shift case.
