anybody interested in an LV project?

the white one went to a happy home where it will undergo a complete resto. relocated about 1.5 years ago.

the LV in question originally came from rick D. it's only been at my place for 6 months or so but i just won't have the time to build it. especially since i have not touched isabel in a year and i have my troopie to work on as well, nevermind another LV project (not mine).
here are the basics:
body: in great shape. some surface rust, but no cancer. small dents below the tail lights but i have replacement panels for them. the tailgate has been dented in as well but is fixable. i do have a complete spare tailgate and a new tailgate skin to go along with it as well (although the spare tailgate might go to another LV to finish it's resurection). i also have a spare set of doors although there are a few small items missing from them. the hood has the typical dent from coming open while the rig was moving. it's repairable but the chrome strip may not be. fenders are in good shape, so is the bib. this rig has very little rust on the inside and the floors are solid. better than most. it's a few different colors and needs paint.
mechanical: when i got it the LV had no engine, trans or t-case in it. i do have a complete and running F engine, 3spd and t-case to go with it. stock axles are still under it. right now it's a roller.
i have all the lights, lenses, bracketts, latches, strikers, ..... for the rig. it's very complete but should be restored completely from the ground up.
and that's another reason i'm selling it. i have a hard time modifying a rare cruiser that should undergo a resto. this is not about the money but instead i want to find a happy home for it. i'm not saying that i will give this rig away, i do need to recoup what i have invested in it. if you're serious, we can talk. i'm open for trades as well.
i will try to get some updated pics of it later this week.

here's a pic of what it looked like 6 months ago. i have since sanded down the roof and applied some spray paint to get rid of the surface rust which was'nt bad. i have also replaced the tires/rims with the oe cruiser drum brake wheels...

like i said, more pics later this week.

Okay George, you have peaked my interest.

Been waiting two years to build something and have bounced between 40s, 55s, 73s,74s.

Sheet metal looks good which in my opinion is most important.

How much of the original equipment is thier?

except for the powertrain, pretty much all the original parts are there. the gauge cluster is from a different cruiser i believe, but it's the right vintage. everything else is from this LV or another LV.

Leaves us with the last question, price?

also comes with some new reproduction parts like:
vent window rubber for both sides
inner door panels
strikers
tail light lenses
and a bunch of other stuff i'll remember sooner or later.......

Doing a 1937 car and all rubber was wrecked when pullin glass.

How are the window rubbers and are they available?

all the window rubber is there, although it's original. i will take a close look at it this weekend to see how plyable it is. like i mentioned, i do have the new reproduction vent window rubber which is the most expensive ($175 each) and most difficult to get. the rest is available if needed.

Hey it looks like you've got a few spare parts in that stash there. Any chance of picking up a few of the spares when I'm through in a month or so?
