Wow the brushed metal looks great.
I think you did a much better job on your shiftier knob than i did![]()
Thanks.
Yeah so far the shifter knob has been the hardest piece to cover and the smallest.....go figure!? I'm sure if I used heat it would've been MUCH easier to cover. I did all that by small relief cuts.
I didn't use the heat gun until I did the last piece, which was the center console. When I saw how easy it was once you heat it up I figured I'd do the gear selector trim too. Corners literally take seconds now and you get a nice seamless edge, no more pie cuts.

When I took my daughter to the bus stop this morning she said she didn't like it. Once we pulled out of the garage and the sun hit it, she said "ooooh sparkly, I like it Daddy!!"

EDIT:
1/28
I finished the entire interior minus the steering wheel. I placed an order for it this morning.

1/31....steering wheel arrived but I'm waiting on a new clockspring to get here before I install it.
Pretty sad the wheel can make it from overseas in 3 days yet a clockspring shipped within the U.S. is taking more than a week to get here.
2/4....got everything put on. Even though the leather is black it looks exactly like the interior seats / door panels / lower dash? For now I kind of like it...if down the road I don't I'll dye it a dark black.
