Well I certainly don’t spend much time on mud these days, but for anyone who would like to come out this Saturday:
Hey everyone,
It’s that time of year again and like every other year, I am running behind on sending this out. For this year’s Kevin Patterson run we’ll be trekking our way through Bulldog Canyon. This will be a casual day on the trail and is in no way affiliated with other TRAL events. This is suitable for stock 4wd vehicles and I’m sure there will be stops along the way to hang out, take pictures, etc.—bring your own lunch and we’ll stop somewhere to hangout and probably listen to Alice’s Restaurant.
You are required to have a Bulldog OHV permit from rec.gov which can be obtained from the link below. It’s $6 for the permit.
Tonto National Forest Off-Highway Vehicle Permit, Tonto National Forest - Recreation.gov - https://www.recreation.gov/vehiclepermits/3332401
For those of you who didn’t know him, Kevin Patterson was passionately involved with so many TRAL endeavors in addition to a longtime member of the Land Cruiser and OHV community. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much his friendship meant to so many of us. Every year around Thanksgiving, he invited several out for “binge wheeling” and we pay homage to Kevin and this practice every Saturday after Thanksgiving since his passing in 2019.
There might be a lot of trucks, there might be only a few of us, but either way consider this your invite to come out, have some fun, hang out, hear some stories, and see some pretty stuff.
We’re going to meet at the Usery entrance to Bulldog at 9am. Link below.
