I need some info on the molding strips between the body and fender flares. First is there anywhere to buy new ones? Mine are sun bleached white along the tops and look horrible next to the restored body and flare panels. I tried a very good trim dressing but it didn't last long. Has anyone ever painted them with a brush? I have some touch up paint that I could perhaps thin and brush on.

I know restoration isn't that big here but any help would be great.

I think cruiserparts.net has the molding.

I guess cruiserparts might but they don't specifically list them. Just fender flares themselves.

Darkness, what did they cost you?

How are they held on? I've got one that's partially loose where the DS rear flare meets the rear body molding strip, but I can't see how it's held on - the flare is loose there too. (I certainly hope there's not rust under there)

Theres a blurb on there somewhere that says if you don't see it call and ask. before I deflared completely I was looking to replace one I busted wheeling. when I called to order the flare the guy asked if I wanted the molding too.

Look for user name jamesobe..... He has a ongoing tread in the classified section for what you are looking for.

I think they were around $100 or so. The ones he sells are aftermarket. They have adhesive on them. I have not had a chance to install them yet.

The search page says "Invalid user" for "jamesobe". Are you sure that's the name?

What exactly are you looking for? The flare itself? Or that rubber gasket strip that's between the flare and your paint job? I think im confused or we all are, no way that gasket that piece of rubber costs 100 clams.

Well it's not rubber but yeah the trim strip between the flare and body.

I think at one point it was some kind of rubber, but if yours are like mine were when I de flared they felt like I was trying to remove concrete
