Mine goes on later next week. Being installed by @Briano in Gunny.

Was quite a wait (just like for the front bumper.) Very much looking forward to having it on!

My installer (me) takes forever... lol

deal with the 7pin trailer connector (install in bumper and tap your leads if needed) and fitting the backup sensors before you start installing
This should be in bold in the instructions!!! For anyone who hasn't installed this bumper, the reason is that you can't fit the factory trailer plug where it needs to go in the hole in the bumper center section once you install the center section!

Not a quick easy install by any means, but finished product looks and functions nice, unfortunately instructions are not great….

Brian did a great job on the install. Still need to wrap up the rear camera relocation, but man am I HAPPY!

Looks good! Except something looks funky with the trailer plug. Did he mount it on the outside of the bumper?

Good eye! He definitely put it on from the outside instead of the inside like it is supposed to be. He probably put the center section on and only realized too late that you need to install the plug ahead if time, or the factory plug wouldn't fit in that space behind because he didn't remove the plastic shield over the back of the wires. It's going to be a job to get it right now.

I just updated the rear.pdf in the original thread with a few changes that I know about (and included info on the 2008 crossmember and some of the new wiring diagrams).

they are constantly tweaking little things like the latch on the table, so the pics might not be exactly as i had them.

here are a few things:
1) use anti-seize on all stainless steel
2) there's 2 little piece of plastic that have to come off the stock trailer plug.
3) each wing gets 2 brackets with captive nuts. make sure those nuts are centered in the holes when you torque them down.
4) check your swingarm bumpstops for the first few weeks, and maybe even use some thread locker on them if you dont plan to remove them.
5) tighten the hinge bolt way more than you'll want to. I've check a few recently and they were on the loose side.
6) the instructions have the proper way to install the swingarms - you set them in place in the closed position and install the outer 2 bolts. then you open the arm and install the inner bolts. Make sure the pad is sitting flat on the striker plate after you do all this. I've seen some that only make contact on the front.
7) I have my spare tire sitting on the outer edge of the arm, and I'm able to retain the stock license plate location. There's slight protrusion from the rear view mirror, but it doesnt bother me. I recently got a warning for expired registration, and no mention of the tire blocking the plate.

I like it...along with the '65 next to it.

I finally installed my rear parking sensors but I guess with all the crap on the back of my bumper (3) of the (4) go off constantly.

Anyone else have this issue or my sensors could be bad from sitting years?

I broke one of my sensors while trying to install into the dissent bumper and found this replacement on AMZN for a fraction of the OEM price. This was installed in May 2023 and has performed flawlessly since. I also used Vasoline to help slide the sensors into place.

My other tip is if you are installing the roadvision lights into the bumper then I highly recommend that you search on here for linuxgod's wiring harness. Big time saver for me and I like that I didn't have to tap the factory harness. I am a novice when it comes to vehicle wiring but was able to follow his instructions and thankfully it all worked out on the first try.

@linuxgod makes a wiring harness for taping the stock trailer? Where can a guy find that?

I think all of us made our own following the lead of the guys who did it before us. All of the information is here on 'mud.

Got a link? I was planning to wire it to the 5 pin trailer plug with a male/female splitter...I presume others have done exactly that.

Yup, @linuxgod was one of the folks whose setup I used to make my plug and play harness for my Dissent rear bumper.
