Is anyone running Nitto (Series TERRA GRAPPLER) 285-75-16 Radial Tire on a LC 100?

I will be running 295 75 16 nittos in the next few days. First tire shop I tried to have mount them refused, side the truck wouldn't move with them on it. I will let you know how the tires seem once they are on.

Been running 295/75/16 just fine. Good tires. If you catch a discount tire sale on ebay you can get a set of 4 for about $500-$600 shipped.

Been running them since my sophomore year in highschool and im now in my third year of college on the same set, its a great tire, I probably have 60k on these and ill be good for atleast another 6 months

Excellent tire. Does well in ice and snow. Heavy mud, not so good with the light tread design. Noise is minimal. Expect to get 40-60,000 miles if rotated and balanced routinely. After sitting for a week or two will have flat spots but clear up after about 10-15 miles of driving. Have had them on mine for the last five years and doing very well.

I've got 285 65 18s on a 06 and have been very happy! Ive put 36k miles in almost 3 1/2 years and so far there're still fine.
They have a new version now called G2.

Been running 295 TG for the last week, so far so good. I've not been off road yet but on the road, they're great. A little less road noisy than my KO2's on my old 100.

Noticeable difference in ride quality between the 16 and 18?

Road wise non, off road @14psi I give a slight edge to the 16's". Not enough to even consider changing. I now really like the look of the tall narrow 18's.

Im running 285/70/17 IMO, Meh... Dont get me wrong they are good tires but they arent as aggressive looking as i hope they would have been. They are quiet and wear well.

I have the same tire on an 18" wheel, and they are awesome. Much quieter then they look like they would be, good ride, and did well in the muck

I found a set of Terra Grapplers (the original) online for $200, but after talking to the guy and learning they had roughly 45K miles already he said he'd take $50 for them. They look 'well cared for' for tires with 45K miles on them, but my question is does it make any sense at all to buy them with so many miles? Could I get 20-30K more out of them?
