Any indication high gas price is bringing the GX values down?

Some of the stations have seriously dropped prices over 50 cents others only about 20 cents. Hope to hell we don't get a bad hurricane that shutters production in the gulf.

Prices started to fall last week here. I am seeing premium for between 4.75-5.20

To spend a day off roading is now about a $100 - $150 day just for fuel!

Soon, instead of keeping a few fives, tens and twenty's in your wallet, it'll be fifties and hundreds. Ones, fives and twenties will be like coin change.

Looks like 5.23 gallon for premium if I factor in my 4% off on fuel with my Costco card. I think WA state has highest gas tax in US as well.

The most I paid in Denver, 2 weeks ago was about 5.69. I filled up yesterday at a station downtown for 5.19. Didn't have time to run to my alternative stations had to run a sick dog to the vet before they closed.

Last fill up in the 460 was $5.29 / gal for 93 at Buccees. I drive it sparingly since my girl guzzles that juice!

That's still 5-ish, although I saw regular for $4.09 today! I'm a cheapskate go my GX gets 87 with careful observation of sensor data via TorquePro.

I was just in Idaho and they had the 93 octane at 2.30 per gallon. This is just outside West Yellowstone gate. Typically Shell is one of the cheapest brands around. I always get the V-Power 91 or 93. It's the equivalent to the Chevron Techron.

gas prices may play a role, but the feds interest rate hikes are going to tank all items typically purchased with financing.

College tuition, houses, cars, solar panels, boats, and anything that is financed will take a hit. They may get real creative to bring those monthly payments down, but there is only so much they can do.

I think gas tax partly higher in WA state because we are one of the 9 states without an income tax.

I can attest to the high gas tax in PA. I lived there my whole life and just moved to Texas in January. Other than gasoline/diesel, everything is more expensive in Texas. I pay 3x-4x more for utilities (gas/electric, water/sanitary) on a monthly basis (I confirmed with relatives in PA that their utilities have not gone up commensurately because of inflation).

No state income tax in Texas is great, but property taxes are very high so the 3% I'm saving in PA state income tax is going out the window and then some in TX property tax. Historically, housing prices were dirt cheap in TX so the taxes weren't a big deal. However, in the last three years, they've ballooned in popular areas to much higher per sqft than PA, making the high TX property taxes in my area ridiculous. So big picture, PA living was a LOT cheaper than Texas despite the .30+ cents extra in fuel tax.
