Was your (ex-) friend driving 80m/h with his foot to the floor when it happened????

Really looks like the old HZ swallowed a huge gulp... Yep! Made up my mind now. A snorkel I will install...

Feel sorry for you, man. :crybaby:

Still wonder how can ALL of them bend?????

s*** happens, and it'll take more than the loss of material things for me to lose a good friend.

There is a Toyota Diesel shop here in Mobile that works on the diesel fork lifts. when i talked to them a few months back, they felt pretty good about doing an work on my 1H if it needed to be done... don't see why they could not work on a 1HZ...

After all these years, water is still incompressible... what a shame to see that with such a nice engine.

The 1HDT left today, and it's on its way to the US of A right now!

leaving for the overland expo in amado, az on april 14. engine gets here thursday, and i'm going out of town for Easter, so that leaves me about 8 days to get it in and all the bugs worked out. :p:p

Haha, why is that always the case? When I first did my 1HZ swap, I left the next day on a 1000 mile road trip. Of course, I've been "working out bugs" ever since, but that's just the nature of cruiser ownership...

look at what the easter bunny brought me....

You should be a full bottle on getting the aircon working this time:D

Good progress... when are you going for start up?

Spin it over with the fuel cut-out disconnected until you have good oil pressure.
