I wanted to get a thread started to show all you good people my project. Another Project Rusty (seems like there are more than a few)
I am going to document this series in Video form, with pictures as needed (pretty much only for you mud people) And here is a kick-off video.
My buddy and I have a Joint youtube channel that I will be posting to, called DIomgY, and it is a mix of DIY things (he is upgrading a school bus to an RV and building a miata based track car, I recently renovated my attic) and I will now be focusing mostly on the FJ60 and related projects.
Plan:
Upgrade reliability and do needed and neglected maintenance
bodywork, oh so much bodywork
paint
creature comforts
upgrades:
-roof rack
-rock sliders
-3 point harnesses in rear
-underbody rejuv/rust removal
-paint
-maybe lockers
I will be making videos of all of these things, and hopefully they can be a resource to the newer mudders like me, and possibly entertaining to the more wise among you. I do not claim to be an expert on this vehicle or these topics and will be learning as I go, but I have gained so much from ih8mud that I wanted to give back in some way.
