Just watched No Reservations on the Travel Channel. Anthony Bourdain was in Egypt. They took a bunch of cruisers in the desert, killed a goat and cooked it up.

Tech: AB said a camel was more reliable than a cruiser. Debate.

Awesome show, i love his sense of humor its great. What happens if you try to put gas in a camel?

Was the camel a diesel conversion with lockers and an OME lift?

If not I will still take the cruiser.

I hear the mpg of a camel is not that great, though... But most importantly will big feet fit without a lift?

Anyway, the way to eat a desert goat is to put it in a camel and cook both together. And even better if you put a bird or something like that in the goat. Admittedly this may take a big spit, but at least then you'd have an overhead camel... :D

Ha ha. Yeah, I saw that the other night. Can't remember if it was two eighties and a sixty, or vice versa. I was watching the news earlier, and there are SO many cruisers in Haiti now with various NGO's and such. Hope they are found to be useful. Goodness knows those peeps could use it.

I thought an interesting comment Bourdain made was the Land Cruiser was the "gold standard" of desert travel.

So instead of turdukin that would be camoatird? Hmmm interesting.

O and i think you can fit size 315 camel grips with some rubbing but that is under debate.
