Thanks for the vid help lol! sorry I'm still a newbie... I appreciate all the help here, I know tire threads have been beat to death, but it's a good amount of money we drop on tires and I hate to regret my purchase, and don't want to replace them in 25,000 miles either.

Welcome to mud. Where simple topics get unnecessarily beaten to death into utter confusion and disorientation. Get out while you can.

I'm familar... no different than all the snowmobile forums I'm on. Well so far I'm down to the following choices not in any order:

Nitto Tgs
BFG Ats
Revo 2s
Mich AT 2s

How about Hankooks AT any word on them?

Michelin A/T 2's on my TLC. Running them a lot on the highway during the week and hunting on the weekends. Liking them pretty well so far. I've had the LTX M/S on the 80-series, the Cross Terrain's, the old A/T's, the BFG's, etc.

I think the A/T 2's are a pretty good all around compromise.

I dug these up for you to read up on. But first, please watch the helpful video...

ROTF!

This should be a sticky...

and on, and on, and on...

That was awesome.
10 points Paul!

The DC FC II's were on my short list for tires early this year. Decided on the DT's for their snowflake rating and good performance in mud.

Yukon LX runs the DMT's and loves them. Good looking tire, too.

Just saw some Michie LTX ATs and did not care for the look of them, very plain looking tire IMO may very well be the best of the bunch but I want a good looking tire also on my 100.

I put Nokian WRG2s on my 100 a few months ago, nice tire. It's advertised as a high-performance tire, feels plenty supportive for the mass they're carrying, without being harsh. It's a severe-service tire for Winter, maybe not as good as a dedicated Winter tire but should be better than most all-season tires. I ordered a set for my 4R today, but they're back ordered, as the Michigan State Police just ordered over 400 of them for their SUVs.

I'm all for Destination AT's. I had a set on my 4Runner and they were excellent in all weather, quiet and durable. I do not off-road so I can't attest to that performance. I just put a set on my '02 LC. Firestone price-matched tirerack.com and knocked $166 off. For non-offroad driving, they are my favorite over NTG's and BFG AT's, both of which I have had (thought they were both pretty noisy).

Scott, is that a tire that you can run year-round? I thought Nokain mostly made dedicated winter tires. Don't hear about too many all-season offerings from them.

Pics?

It's a year-round tire, but definitely leans toward Winter performance. I found a lot of talk on forums of using them as Winter tires, but they are all-season, or "All Weather Plus" on the Nokian site. H-rated, 130mph, maybe more than most winter tires.

My 100 came with Blizzaks, the PO ran them year-round, and I ran them for a few years straight with no issues of rapid wear or poor performance. Dedicated Winter tires have improved a lot in tread wear, these seem to take advantage of new compounds and assymetric design to keep the edge from wearing.

I paid just under $1k at Discount Tire for all four, 265/60-18 size isn't listed at Nokian but that's what I bought.

You guys are dorks. STFW you know how to run this thread. Others have full time jobs and families and occasionally go here for info. I've owned Landcruisers since 1982, about 22 of them, all models, and go to this thread for reference and input when I can. Get over yourselves and your knowledge of tires and what you think you know about cruisers.
