I have had my inverter stored deep in the storage compartments of the truck which make it a pain to get to.
Was cooking one day at the rear tailgate and had my crock pot plugged into the inverter. Noticing the large void on my @LandCruiserPhil flip window so I went for it. Used stainless hardware with rubber gaskets on the exterior side.
Now I can keep the window closed and run power from the back, or flip it up and have things plugged in. I also carry a short 5-foot power cable.

Very cool idea.
Keep me posted on how it holds up. If you get to a point where you feel the additional weight is an issue we can add another hinge.
