Just picked up a Green (Imperial Jade Mica?) 99 UZJ100 with rear diff lock and 179k for 9500.00 off the service manager at Precision Toyota in Tucson. Couldn't be happier. He scored me a complete 90k service for $420.00 so I paid $9920.00. The GM of the dealership also bought my 80 for $6800.00 so it worked out great! I kept my Australian Outback Roller Drawers from my 80 so I'm going to make those fit in the 100. My initial impression is that the a/c, effortless power, and luxury of the 100 surpass my 80 by a long shot. Not even close. I prefer the suspension on the 80 so guess I'll install an OME 2.5" kit eventually to see how much that helps. Couldn't be more pleased. First cheap mod is going to be the tailgate struts like in the "My fix for the elusive hatch struts" thread that is popular in the 80 series forum. Have many 100 Series guys installed the McMaster Carr struts? One of my favorite mods I did on my 80. Wondering about the clearance since I have of of those wind screen doohickeys on the back roof of the 100. So far, love this Land Cruiser!!

She's pretty much stock. Going to take the running boards off first thing...

Nice score LC80!

Mr. Lou's struts - nice OEM replacement.

After the running boards, next best mod is to check to see if the LC has the slots for the cabin air filters.

:steer:

Pretty small. 275/70R16 I think. Definitely need an OME lift, bigger tires, and sliders. There is a pile of dirt by my house I used to easily drive over in my 80. Tried it in the 100 and spun the rear wheels. Put it in low and spun the rear wheels. Engaged the rear diff lock and got over it while dragging the passenger side stock step over it. Dinged that up this afternoon. Haha.

SmoothLC - Thanks for the heads up! I've got some reading to do in the 100 Series Forum.

Nice....truck. I like the color as well. I bought one in thunder cloud 4 months ago and havent looked back although sometimes I wish I had a second one in either your green or the blue

Running board delete, cabin air filter, and McMaster Carr hatch struts installed. OEM radiator getting put in on Monday. Gotta make these drawers from my 80 fit and then looking at the OPOR sliders from MetalTech and OME from Slee. Why can't I just leave it alone? Going broke over here :)

OPOR sliders and 285 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Up next, I think OME 1.5" and 4x4labs DIY rear bumper with no swingouts.

Good call, LC! I do like the green!

I just piled in to a 100 series in April. I held off on any big expenditures, but here are a few suggested cheap but high upside modifications.

1. LED light upgrade to front console (see LED console thread)
2. Drive shaft lube
3. Fuel Filter replacement
4. Upgrade stock speakers(Crutchfield)
5. Weather Tech cargo mats

Hope that helps ease the wallet strain...;) Welcome to the club!

Thanks El Cid! Used to have Pfran's LEDs in my 80. They were great so I'm sure ill get some for the 100 eventually. Lubed driveshafts at last oil change. It came with weather techs which was nice. PO also had the dealership tint applied and upgraded the low beams. Another thing I need to do still is make the roller drawers from my 80 fit correctly into the 100...

Great deal on a good lookin truck for sure! You should also look into crankin up your torsion bars until you get that lift installed, give it a nice free level'ed look

Love the green! Great looking truck, I can't wait to throw some cash at mine too! So the front window tint is dealer applied? Does it have the mirror look to it like the other windows? (I'm having trouble discerning from the original pics you posted).

It looks great! You should be able to crank the front up 0.5 to 0.75 inch, depending on the factory lean. I would suggest replacing your heater T's very soon. You'll probably break one on the removal given the brittleness.
