I just picked up some used 4" lift springs from a fellow mudder the other day(finally) and they are a lot better than expected, but the guy doesnt know who made them, and I've been told that I will need axle shims and the guy I bought the springs didnt have them, any ideas on a good place to get these? and will not knowing what brand the springs are cause a problem getting the right shims to fit the springs correctly. And any recomendations as far as new shocks go, I know I will need longer shocks but does anyone know the lenght needed to accomodate the lift.

I'd go with a 3 or 4 degress shim. NAPA has them last I heard. Best to get steel ones but AL will work.

Alan would be the one to ask on shocks. I like Rancho 9000's adjustables. Not super bling but work. Stay away from 5000's. The tech link should have an excel spreadsheet showing all the shocks and length. Best advice I can give you is take you existing shocks off and go flex your truck and measure every corner for extension and compression. A forklift works best. If you were closer I'd let you use mine.

If you get aluminum be careful to not crack them when you crank them down.
