Nice find on the SL rate 10w30! Wish I could find that around here.

G, it's my understanding that the 10W-30 High Mileage M1 is the only one that is SL rated that still may be on the shelves. NAPA Fleet is another that you might have luck with. The OLD I stress OLD Castrol GTX Diesel is another. A few months back this same store had a few pallets and now its completely gone.

So, unless you wanna add ZDDP to your SM, SN rated oils.... thats the last hope for the older stuff. I even checked the CAT dealer and they have gone to the newer stuff as well. So, it seems there are very few that still have the higher amount of Zinc levels we need.

Just remember not to go crazy on the zinc.. It can hurt our 2F's over time if too much is introduced to them.

Loaded up and ready to roll in the morning. Should be a good trip. I hope to do a two day trip but, the wife has a three day plan for me. I'll just see how tired I am and go from there.

Blue Marley looks well up on that throne! Safe travels and let us all know when you get settled and get out on a run!

Will do Greg. Marley will spend a week or so on the trailer at the homestead until I find her a new home but, hopefully it will be sooner than later.

Drive safe bro! And dont let him get too used to that trailer!!! ;)

Hope you guys have a safe trip J. Have you found a little 2 bedroom with a 4,000 square foot garage yet?? ;)

Hell his "garage" at his current house is bigger than my entire house!! But then again my house was built in 1963 and is only 1368sqft.

Here is to hoping for another "shop" like you have now! Marley needs room for his Pig brother!!!

When you've got the skills the garage will come. Beautiful work and very instructive. All the best on your trip!

Made it to Hays, Kansas today, more than half way. 735 miles to be exact. I'll get to my destination tomorrow. Marley just sits back and enjoys the ride. A lot of looks and thumbs up today going through Colorado.

Actually had a call from a person that has a nice " LITTLE " place on 2 acres with 2, yes, two shops today.... Need to go look but, the one is an equipment barn I gather but, the other is more our style... not quite 4000 sq ft but, 2400 sq ft with single and 3 phase power.... HA! I'll keep ya posted on what I find out.

OH AND THE PIG WILL EVENTUALLY BE! I'm too close to Dallas and Houston for it not to happen... I hope soon!

Thanks guys.

Ha! yes I remember moving from Tyler to Fort Collins, CO in 99 and it was very similar. Except I had a 1-ton dually welding truck and I'd just diesel smoke the hell out of the tree huggers, or once they figured out that I wasn't gonna stop when they pulled out in front of me... Good thing I always built strong front bumpers.. Well you get the point. and so did they.

I enjoyed most the people in Colorado for the most part but, it's good to be coming home, been too long.

Tex, I'll be in Myrtle Springs tomorrow afternoon. I'll try and meet up with you sometime in the near future. Looks like I'll be around Van for a week or so, then to Carthage after that. But, I'll be working a 14/7 schedule so I'll have a lot of play time. :grinpimp:

Made it in yesterday afternoon. No problems at all. I am amazed at the performance difference in Marley here. Seriously feels like a completely different vehicle. I have a ton of pedal left at 70 MPH. Very nice indeed. Suppose the OOOHHHH HMMMM 6000 foot elevation change had a part in that HA!.

Gonna go enjoy some country side now.

Glad you made J!

Maybe I missed it, but please tell me that the hitch receiver (is that what I'm seeing) on the ladder-side swing arm is for a BBQ. That would be SWANK!

But if it is, it needs a bottle opener right beside it!

Congrats on the safe move, BTW.

Good stuff J!

We need to race our 60's :D
