It's been a few days since a update so... I found my rear "brake" leak... It was the vent check valve off the rear housing. Completely gummed up with crap and actually sealed the vent shut. It blew the hose from the housing off and blew oil all over the place. Took the line off.. cleaned the crap off, I now have the check valve /vent working properly. Went for a cruise and all is good underneath now, no leaks or blow by..

I started on my storage drawers but, my Hitachi battery charger S**T the bed today and wont charge my batteries... So, believe it or not.. I do not own a cord powered circular saw... HA!.. I'm a welder not a carpenter...

So, here's a pic of the drawers in dismay, confusion and utter disbelief.... I did order another charger and a new circular saw today for emergency work relief.. HEE HEE!

I'm sorry J, I don't know if I'm seeing this right - Is that common wood you're using? Not some carbon reinforced titanium matrix nano material???

Wood I can afford.

Aircraft grade awesome...honeycomb composite encased in aluminum...strength and weight savings to compensate for all the awesome armor he built ;) haha

Nominated for Post of the year :p

Ha, you guys are hilarious.... I will let you know that I did look into SpaceAge Synthetics, Ltd's Thermo-Lite Board..for several of Marley's projects. But, just could swing it... It's what they build Prevost motorhomes, ambulance shells, and marine floors out of.. Pretty much 100% waterproof and strong as H**L.. Couldn't buy enough material to make it cost effective.

Got my 62 thirds today.. Verified the 4.10 ratio... I plan on spending the weekend in the shop with Marley.. Hope to get the thirds, rear locker and finish the rear brakes too.

Colorado job fell through but, another opportunity was presented today.. SO, I will let you guys know. I should know tomorrow on the job.. I have a few weeks left on my current contract and I'm getting restless and ready to roll.

Thanks wygy, This job is long term but, 1400 miles away from the shop at the house. If it works out Marley will be going with me for sure. Just want to get everything I can done before I leave.

Glad the 3rds arrived J. Those 6 gallon buckets are the way to go when shipping thirds, I dont know how they fit in 5ers. Looking forward to seeing the locker in those bad boys!

I'll post up pics when I get it in this weekend. Thirds were a perfect fit in the buckets. They weathered the trip with no issues. Bucket handles are a bit warped now.. HA!.. Well if I get this new job my shipping rates from you should go down considerably... WOOHOO!

J

So it's in Texas eh? Woohoo! I hope you get it! keep us posted

Looking forward to seeing this added to the list of things J.
So will you be adding a keg-erator to Blue Marley as well? We all know you got the fridge waiting..

Thats funny J, my thirds arrived early this weekd, 4.1s and I installed them last night, of course I moved my lockrite over. So much better to drive now! We are taking a long trip over a few passes to hunt tomorrow so that will be a blessing. The ol' girl is happy now.

Thats about all I have been able to do on her lately, I'm gone till thurs, maybe ill hop on and post some pics of our mule deer we pull out of the wilderness ;)

Good work, wish I had more time to keep up with everyones builds, I do enjoy it.

I'm sorry J. I must have missed it, why are you going to 62 thirds?

Change from 3.70 gears to 4.11s.. It's easier and cheaper to swap the thirds than to buy ring and pinions, set up and then install.

I'm reversing the rubber overdrive (235 or/31" tire to 33")to give me a little more power to boot over it's current state.

Hmmm...When you get those 3.70s out check them and see what kind of shape they are in. I may take them off your hands. I've been trying to decide between 3.70s and 4.11s. I have 4.56 right now and they are going to be way too low for the 4bt.

Thats how I got mine, a guy putting in a 6bt swapped me for them.

I'll do that. They run good right now I know. Only reason I'm changing them is for the lower gearing, If you are interested we can meet in Pinedale or Daniel Junction one of these Saturday or Sundays.. I'll let them go pretty cheap If I don't have to ship them.

What will be your final overdrive (H55 and Ranger od combined)?
