Hopefully I'll be a day ahead of the Saturday group, which means it's likely that if I have any problems with the 60 on the road, a random stranger might stop to help. It's good to know I won't be relying on Murf this time.

At the risk of being thrown out of the club, I thought I'd stop buying new sh*t and wheel for awhile. Maybe even learn how to drive, figure out what I really need, and then maybe upgrade. So that beautiful ARB sitting pretty on the front of my rig is going to stay there for awhile. When I find the cable to connect my camera to the computer I’ll upload a picture or two.

I thought I was following your leader Master Qui-Gon. Have we ever had a conversation that didn’t involve a couple of casual insults for web wheelers?
Not that I have anything against being a rebel.
I'm actually planning an AM escape at this point. That, of course, is subject to change based on familial needs. My hope is to beat the heat since I've got no A/C in the 60 and the princess doesn't take kindly to driving a blast furnace.
Of course, all of these plans are subject to my new fan shroud situation getting resolved this week. The mechanical fan seems to have givin me about 10 degrees of coolness I wasn't experiencing before. That's without a shroud too. I spent Saturday hunting a shroud at the junkyard, good luck finding any type of metal shroud if you find yourself in need. I settled for 3 ABS units from random American models, and spent Sunday hacking and gluing to come up with something that might actually do the job. If I can get another 10 degrees out of the motor this way I will be HAPPY and much more confident in my truck's ability to get us home without delay this time. Fingers crossed.
