We should be in... assuming I get the truck running cooler by then.

Paging Rachet...

Richard; your obligatory yearly CSC run / get together is calling you....

He he... I need to figure out a way to get to more than one a year.

I was just thinking about this trip the other day. I want another crack at that waterfall now that the cruiser is running on propane...
I should be good to go for either weekend. We will plan on camping both Friday and Saturday night.

Richard

Get a date locked in when you can, I'll try to arrange the (wife's) schedule to make it.

What's the wheeling like? If I went, I'm sure it'd be in the Hundy which is bone stock but should have some new AT's by then. OH YEAH! LOOK OUT!!!!!!

Pics from last year: Phils Hundy coming through the optional slot, camping spot, it threatened and sprinkled enough to keep us cool and bug free.

Some more teasers :) What a great time with a great group. The trail is fun with some challenges here and there with many options all the way through.

You should be fine, several stock FJC's, etc, have run the first/main section. If history is any indicator there will be plenty of good spotters there. It's a pick your poison type trail, the exit road parallels, so there are bailout opportunities pretty often if needed/wanted.

That said, it's a rocky trail, so bigger tires win, smaller tire, stock rigs will struggle, find it more challenging, have to pick lines carefully. There are lots of sharp edge steps, so driveshafts, rear arms, exhaust systems and tires are at risk if not careful.

It's a very fun trail, good opportunities for optional rock play, great camp areas and in the pines. Check out the pix from last year, starting on page 8, most of the "big play" pix are of optional obstacles.

I was just looking over the pics of last year and it looks so much fun guys! I'm so in this year! Gonna ask for the time off when I get back to work!

Last year was great. My favorite part of the day was when the little Nissan turned his tie rod into a coat hanger. As soon as his truck came to a stop it looked like Harbor Freight exploded and tools were flying to get him back on the trail. I'll bring the pickle fork but Nissan guys should bring extra tie rods :-)

I have a buddy who would like to go but isn't sure if his Nissan Xterra can make it fine. It's pretty much stock, he just bought it a couple of months ago. Any idea? Thanks guys!

So, did anybody decide on a weekend? Who makes the decision? Do we have a committee? Should we have a committee? Should we have a committee on having a committee? :p

I'd bet the final vote will be made on the evening of 2/21 by a show of headlights!!

Committee called to order, the 26th is leading by a 3-1 margin, all in favor of the 26th say aye, aye, motion carried, the event is on the 26th, committee adjourned. First post updated to reflect the decision.:hillbilly:

Does that work for you counselor? :hillbilly:

Last year we had a stockish nissan pick-um-up thingy, (called a femdom or something, maybe?) with us. It did OK, just wadded up the front suspension, were able to beat it back into some semblance of straight for the drive back. Should be good to go on the nissan extra, if nothing else for entertainment value. Just follow the basic nissan rules, bring plenty of tools and another extra, so they have something to drive when the first one breaks!:hillbilly::wrench:

Well based on that, I doubt he'll want to bring his new Xterra. I tried so hard to get him to buy an FJ. His argument was the FJ is 8inches wider and thus would not fit in his garage. Blah blah blah was my response. Maybe my bro will let him use his FJ62, since it's still here in AZ....

Aye! The 21st then!
