Yes, will be hashed at the meet tomorrow and posted ASAP.

I'm trying to make it into town early enough to make the meeting...whatever the consensus is I'm good with if I don't make it. The previous set ups have worked out pretty well with the commuting caravan meeting the campers at the trailhead / previous Bman BBQ spot to stage up.

Hope I can make it - we'll see if Southwest is on time tonight.:bang:

n i c e ! :grinpimp:
Who manufactures those? Are they welded or do they utilize a u-bolt set up?

Payette will be a good place to break them in

Kevin is right - they're MetalTech. They are bolt-ons, I think you can find some pics of the mounting set-up on their site. I'm super excited for them - they should be shipping today, and on my truck a week from tomorrow.:bounce::bounce2:

Meeting Update

Based on the conversations Friday night, here is the general information on the Payette run:

Anyone who is interested in camping Friday Night (5-29-09) prior to the run, and who haven't been to Payette (i.e needs directions and would like to follow the group), several of us will be meeting at the Ba'Ja gas station on 87 at Ft. Mcdowell at around 3:30pm on Friday to caravan up the hill. We will be puttling out at about 3:45 pm, and be montioring channel 4 on the CB.

Saturday Morning (5-30-09), The Main group will be meeting up at the Ba'Ja gas station on 87 at aproximately 7:30am, and rolling out shortly after. Channel 4 will be monitored as well.

The goal would be to have everyone staged up the trailhead and rolling by 10:00am.

For those that haven't been to Payette before it can be a long trail for the amount of ground actually covered, please be prepared with the basic neccesities like sunscreen, extra water, food, fuel, etc.

If you can't make either one of these group's, or will be going up either earlier or later to meet up with the group and need directions, please PM me and I will provide them in detail to the trailhead. Also, if we could get a vehicle count for the campers for both friday, and saturday night, I will make sure we have enough ground staked out for the group when we get up on Friday afternoon.

One truck for my family for both Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm getting my rear bumper/carrier fabbed up while we speak. Cant wait to drag it around and see how it does at Payette :). The builder is building it with all the custom additions I want. Should get it back next week.

Like a damn kid at Christmas

yes i will be out for a day trip

I'm planning on going for the day only; no more sleeping on rocks for me. My son Diego will also be there with his mini. This will be his first time really wheeling with his own truck so we're looking forward to it.

im driving up Sat morning and returning that evening.

I'm thinking about coming up from Yuma for the day, if I do would anyone have an open seat?

Won't know until later next week depending how the move goes if I'll make it but I wanted to throw it out there just in case.

Your runner will be fine on the trail, unless you mean your bringing up something else...

Looks like Darcy and I will be coming up from Yuma if there is still room.

FJ40LVR, you have a PM.

Richard

Richard! Great to have you along, as allways! - PM received and replied. I can't wait to see your rig on The Filter!

Best.

If you decide not to drive, my guess is you will have no problem finding a seat. It's a social trail (read slow) so even if you drive, you end up out of the rig more than in, taking pix, spotting and mostly just BSing. :D

and how many are going up Friday and how many leaving Saturday morning?

I'm guessing that 90% will drive up Saturday morning after meeting up a the Ba'Ja, or on 87 in convoy. I'm heading up to camp Friday night with three-five others.
