I'm guessing that 90% will drive up Saturday morning after meeting up a the Ba'Ja, or on 87 in convoy. I'm heading up to camp Friday night with three-five others.

Probably joining the convoy Sat morning. I may have 1 or 3 extra vehicles with me.;p

We'll be in the convoy Sat morning. Towing the 40 and my son will be driving the 4Runner :bounce:

you wheeling in a 40 , are you prepared to be that cool again:cool:

Looks like I am out.....Have a friend coming into town for the weekend and was planning on bringing him but he made his flight out at 5pm on Sat. So I would have to leave before any of the fun....

who's this Clarkrw3 guy?:p

I'm going up early Saturday morning and my son Diego will be following with his 85 pick up. We'll probably go really slow up the hill since the 4 banger pushing 35's will do about 15 mph up Sunflower. Has there been a time set for those who want to meet at the Maverick in Payson?

Juan, I haven't heard of any as of yet, however if the group leaves the Ba'ja at around 7:30, and it is 72.3 miles to the Maverick and they do the speed limit – it should take about 1 hour 44 mins - so 9:15 at the Maverick in Payson - rolling out shortly after for a 45 minute run to the trail head from there.

(Man this sounds like a SAT test question no matter how I put it:hhmm:)

However, if you want to meet up with us early at the trail head prior to the run there will plenty of bacon and eggs and camp bisquits!

Hey guys, I wanted to wait til the last minute before I decided cos the new shop has to take priority, it's not lookin good right now but I know where it is and will see you at the trail head if I can make it...... If not? have a great time and take lots o pics and vids.

I was up there Sunday and there is lots o water in it but not too much to make it impassible....

In a nutshell I still don't know if i'm in or out. I'll know Friday afternoon if my 2 customers are gonna show up or not.

I should be off tomorrow and at the house most of the day. The plan is to leave the house around 4:30 or 5 but you know how that goes. The absolute worst case scenario for us is a Saturday morning EARLY roll out. I still haven't forund a set of Yakima guttermount towers for the tent so we will likely be ground camping. Not an issue for me but the wife and kids might not love it.

If anyone has a set of Yakima gutter mount towers and bars I could borrow for the weekend please shoot me a PM. Thanks!

True, but we will attempt to keep the speed down close to the speed limit, so you can keep up.:flipoff2::hillbilly:

The main meet point is the Maverik Gas Station, 715 N Beeline Highway in Payson, on the southeast corner of Beeline HWY 87 and Forest Dr in North Payson. Pullout time about 9:00 am.

If some want to meet and caravan from Baja, it’s about 60 miles, so pullout a little before 8:00 am. The Baja Gas Station is at 10180 N Fort Mcdowell Rd, Fort Mcdowell, AZ 85264, on Beeline across from the casino just past Shea and Fountain Hills.

I have "deliver wife to the airport" duty that morning, so maybe late, but will attempt to make Baja.
