Alright guys, we are tentatively planning the annual for October 29th at Paris Mountain State Park as usual. We will plan to cook lunch and hang out for the day. Camping will be up to the individual for the weekend as I'm assuming that will be a trick or treating weekend for those with kids.

Please post up, or send me nominations for the following positions. Feel free to nominate yourselves.

I think we should lay out a job description for each position so everyone knows what's they are getting into if we don't have one set up already. My personal thoughts are I like the idea of everyone pitching in for the events but having one person take the lead on one event like Marshall did for OTMT and I will take the lead on Black Balsam. Other events like trash pickups, annual event, monthly meetings, Christmas party Etc. It would be nice to have a lead there also. It sounds like we may be possibly taking over STR from ONSC so we have a lot of events we can all pitch in on and someone take a lead position. I feel if this is done it will make for a more enjoyable year for everyone and not be so much stress on a few. I also think the more active and organized we are the more others may want to be involved in the club and the momentum will help us grow. It seems Jeff T really has a handle on the marketing for shirts and e-flyers so I'm all for him continuing there! I think it would be really important to find someone to take charge of the we site development and continuing maintenance to keep us up to date especially the integrated calendar idea.

Just my thoughts...interested to hear others ideas too.

Agreed on all counts. I won't be at the next monthly meeting but it can be discussed there and we can also talk more at Black Balsam. Honestly, I don't really have much free time right now and foresee that just getting worse next year. I've been falling behind on keeping stuff organized and need to get caught up.

Not sure I'm pretty enough to be your secretary! :D

Picnic site S-A has been reserved for October 29th for our gathering. Everyone cool with burgers and dogs for lunch?

If there aren't job descriptions for UC offices then I recommend we go with what ONSC has listed out (see Article XIII):

ONSC Club Bylaws – Olde North State Cruisers

Also, would recommend that an email be sent out to all members & maybe a posting on the FB club page as i know many don't frequent the MUD clubhouse.

I believe we are also trying to do a trash pickup day.....should be schedule that in the morning or just before the gathering at Paris Mtn? (Sounds like another recommendation)

And yet another recommendation: ask for volunteers within the club as to willingness to serve in one or more positions? If Upstate Cruisers is going to continue on it will require time and commitment of a group of folks to coordinate and communicate. At my stage/season of life I now have that time and my passion for Land Cruisers has reignited, especially since my wife and daughters and now son-in-law also appreciate and enjoy these fine vehicles that draw us together!

I'm open to serving in whatever capacity is deemed best....I have no need for a title, etc.

Just an observation: regardless of who is on the BOD, the "Godfather" of Upstate Cruisers is Marshall Shepherd and nothing will succeed long term without his blessing and support......just sayin.....I'm good with that as he 1) has been the primary catalyst for my passion resurgence and 2) is a good man!

That's all I have to say about that.......

Bump

We need to bring anything food wise?

Plan to meet at the shelter for lunch and our meeting at 1200 on Saturday. The club will provide burgers, hot dogs, fixings, potato salad, and coleslaw. Drinks, chips, etc, will be up to the individual.

I'll have hats and koozies for sale as well as some miscellaneous shirts and stickers. See you all there!

I have sent an email and Facebook post out as well.

Anybody camping?

Not camping and looks like the daughters/princesses will not be coming so will be me, Sherry and Chad attending from the Taylor home. Anyone have any cornole boards?

Planning on stopping by. To vote for Marshall for all positions.
