wngrog NOW TAKE THOSE FAWKING TIRES OFF THEY LOOK LIKE HAMMERED ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1[/QUOTE said:
Hey Nolen, it won't fit in the garage unless he has those on........ :D :D

What exactly does "hammered ass" look like?

You guys crack me up... Rob's garage (a.k.a. "the shop") has 6'10" doors, and the cruiser is sitting a tad bit high right now, so that's the reason for the tires. Plus, I don't wanna wear down my SX's, not that I have the motor to spin those...

After I get it home and do the wiring harness (which means the battery can go where it belongs, hood on, etc..), I plan on doing a GOOOD burnout, and then the rollers will come off.

I'm just glad, I got one of Bobby Long's last beadlocks to 'lock my spare wheel, to replace a bent wheel.. Seats and twin stick will be here this week too..

I'll try not to include the wheels in any future pics.. :flipoff2: (But I bet your rig would be on rollers if he had a set)

LOL! You're right - mine will not make it out of the garage right now... If I air down the tires - I can't push it.

Keep those pictures coming - tires or not.

PS - I want to see a movie of the final burn-out blowing one of those little things!

Grog isn't the only one who got new seats in...

Corbeau Ultra SS. I had bought a set of BajaSS (same as PRP Premier high back,Beard Super, etc.), but found the headrest to be too low, and the single belt opening was gonna really annoy me, as it would make the belts constantly chafe my neck . (I run 3" wide belts) Also, being full black vinyl, I was a *wee* bit concerned about summertime wheeling and the heat.

These are 4" higher, and 1" wider. I think I sit a little lower in the seat than in the Baja's, which is a good thing, but I won't know for sure till they are mounted.

$420 shipped from PORC, thanks to their promo on the PBB ;)

Combined last weekend and this weekend update, since last weekend was about a 2/3 day only thing (bachelor gathering)

my dash was hacked to hell by the PO, so we (mostly Rob) made a dash skin to cover the whole thing... cutting out the glovebox and gauge cluster was NOT easy!

Fully mounted, with gauges installed.. tach, water temp, oil pres, volts, and tranny temp..

Seats are in..

As is the Art Carr shifter, and the Front Range twin stick, so I can have my beloved 2low back.

Also re-did the rear shock mount to move the shocks away from the frame. they wouldn't have contacted it normally, but I didn't think about bushing slop on a side hill allowing the whole axle to move laterally.. oops.

Now for one of my anxiously awaited pieces.. Something I have wanted for a while.. a center console. When belted in, I could never reach any switches on the dash... no longer!

Here's the raw "skeleton", which weight <5 lbs.

Installed, from the side. The sides, rear, and hole around the twin stick will be skinned.

top panel will house just about every switch to control the rig except headlight and turn signal controls. The fuse panel will also be in this area, probably on the side.

The only major fab left is to get the front 2-piece driveshaft made, installed, and cut out the skid plate and mount it.. Anything else is gravy.. (A roof panel, for example)

Now to begin the wiring once I get back home from my wedding.. :D

Top row - winch in/out, winch arm (1/2" hole, not yet done), cooling fan control (auto/man) brake light cutoff.

Bottom - rock lights, dome lights, reverse/rear work lights , then in the other group is heater, wipers, and a switch to turn the electric cooler on and off.. :)

The big hole is for the CB.

I've been a wiring geek for years.. This is finally my chance to do it how I want it done, no compromises.

Does anyone thing there's too much diamond plate going on? I'm kinda kicking around the idea of painting some of it...

i like diamond plating as much as the next guy, but when you put it on the outside it looks like your kinda a cheap guy and tolazy to paint it or that your hid somthing (in which most cases are true) but, do what ever you think is right

A guy locally painted his mini truck dash silver, looks nice but, the glare is terrible he has to put a rag or something on the dash so he can see out the windshield. this might not happen to you but something to consider. It still looks awesome.

Nice Rich, guess you beat me to it.

the 80 series looks best with IH8MUD2 ;) (well, mine does anyways....lol)
