I found this, thanks to CDan! which is replacing the one in the second photo and going into the "cute blue landcruiser," my wife calls it. Carb is off to Mark for a rebuild and all the smog/EGR stuff is going bye bye. I have an old manifold if anyone wants it, good price!

Other items planned:
new suspension and lift
dual batteries
maybe new seats or at least covers and foam
some frame rot repair and
power steering.

If you do seat covers see AAtlas1X. I think his stuff is in the vendors forum.

You'll be mobile in no time........don't forget to post pics when it hits the trail:cheers:

Can't wait! we took it out the weekend before I tore it down, but the exhaust leak was caustic! kids love the back jump seats, but I want to put a bench seat in the back. Since I have three kids, I'm trying to figure out a way to bench all three in the back. they're young, so headroom isn't an issue....yet..

I did a search on "bench seats" and there are 250 threads so you'll have no problem finding some solutions/options to accomodate the kids.

What are those two pipes going to the bottom box/ thing in the pic of the old maniflod

Maybe it's not my place to say but I think the money you spent on that manifold/intake assy could have been more wisely spent remedying whatever all that diamond plate is hiding and your "frame rot repair". Good used are $0.10/dozen and broken studs are easily replaced with some time, talent and heat.

My old 3f didnt have any of that maybe oz didnt worry about polution

the neuvation wheels have been great. I've raced them, but use them mostly for commuting etc. they're strong, stay true and for the price, are an excellent wheel.

Any money spent on the landcruiser is money well spent! IMHO.

That is the EGR. The "bottom box" is a cooler for the exhaust gas.

U.S. 3FE's have an EGR system, but not a cooler - they just go straight from the exhaust manifold the the EGR valve.
