I bought an fj55 with a 3b in Vancouver and drove it back to Memphis with no tags. Just import paperwork and bill of sale. I seem to recall it was legal somehow?

I called my insurance company before I flew out and they said I was covered automatically for any vehicle I purchased for 30 days.
No need to inform them first. Automatically covered.

Your insurance may differ, but give them a call.

I drove the FJ73 I had on Colombian plates until I got my Texas registration. Didn’t have any issues. It was just for a week or so.

It was insured the whole time.
