Ok guys here is the deal. My uncle is now able to get samson rope products, better known as amsteel blue in the winch as recovery industry. Anyway, I can get a 600ft roll and was curious if anyone would be interested in some rope for a little less than usual,

125ft of 3/8" would be 225.00 (3 available) +shipping
100ft of 3/8" would be 180.00 (1 available) +shipping

Like I said I don't have it yet I am just seeing if anyone would be interseted at a slighty discounted rate.
let me know

thanks,

Dylan

Yes -- 125' Let me know when/where to send $$$ :)

Sorry for the highjack but I have one section of 125' left. $1.70 per foot of 3/8's Plasma rope, Chafe Gaurd is $0.50 per foot. I bought 1,800 feet under a group buy with my club earlier in the year and had some foks back out. I would be willing to do a 100 foot section as well as I have some folks interested in extension pieces and tree savers. Check here.

I will be glad to splice on a "Safety Thimble" from http://www.toughstuffproducts.com/jeep/winch_safety_thimble.html for another $45.00.

spectra or dyneema

They are all relatively the same. Only two companies make the raw fiber that is then spun into the rope. Honeywell make a product called Spectra and Dutch State Mines "DSM" makes a product called Dyneema. Then there are numerous rope companies that actually spin and weave the fiber into the final rope and give it a brand name. In the end you basically either have a Spectra based rope or a Dyneema based rope. The rope companies have a bit of technology they apply as well that make some rope better than others.

I got my spool of rope from the Puget Sound Rope Company who makes it for Warn.
