Amount of paint needed question (1 Viewer)

Got a '73 FJ40 that we are about to repaint in Toyota Quicksand color. It is already primed.

We will be painting:
- the exterior
- inside of engine bay
- underside of hood
- under front fenders
- inside and out of both doors
- tailgate and 1/2 ambulance doors
- inside and outside of the hard top
- Verticle surfaces inside the tub with 2 coats of paint. All of the flat surfaces will have Raptor Liner on them - i.e. the tub floor, fender tops, etc.

We were wondering how much paint you thought it would take to paint that.

I would get 2 gallons and mix it all up at one time in a different container so all of the paint will be one uniform color.

I concur with @macdaddy59

Mine got the same amount of painting, single stage acrylic, and it took almost all of the 2 gallons.

Don't cheap out on bargain basement paint, unless you intend to flip your truck. Top of the line paint lays down easier and lasts longer.
