Am I a potential source for steel FJ40 tubs?

Above was only first coat and not clearcoated.

Here are finished product photos.

Tailgate made by hand by the body/metal guy. The painter who has 25 years in the business does the filler/sanding and the paint work.

Trailer tub before hand... painter did spend a few days prepping it. This is what I am talking about doing for value added and ship a 3/4 tub already prepped and primer. Not talking about just priming the basic tub. Also use a PPG anticorrosion paint then 2 coats of gray primer.

Work we did on original body lines/ rear tub for other trucks recently. Both turned out very nicely. He really gets the rear body lines straight. We started with an all original rust free truck with no major dents. But he spends about a week just going over it before painting. I want to push the quality higher though. this was before we polished out the orange peel. I have the truck in Tampa and it needs another polish.

1974 FJ43 sold. Very original truck that we ended up repainting about 80% of it. Heath Grey.

End product. This was a 30 day light overhaul FJ43. Probably my favorite truck so far because it went smoothly and the truck was very nice to start with. This was not a $50,000 plus auction truck but a very original, collectable yet driveable truck with new AC. Truck won a small trophy at a local car show before delivering it to the client. There is not another one like it in the USA right now.

Maybe the idea of taking the extra step to prime is too complicated but I think I could spend a week on a 3/4 tub and get the floor in it super straight and the sides super nice. This is the same work we are already doing.

Love the top.

So the tubs you might be bringing in. Are they from the same manufacturer as Pacol? I tried years ago to get them to let me import some things in and they wouldn't budge. Cant imagine there are a ton of Tub manufacturers in Columbia. If you can get inventory of Tub in the US and keep the price down they will sell like hotcakes. Besides Pacol no one is making full tubs in the US.

One more question. Did you sell a yellow 43 this summer out of Florida?
