Alternate Air Filter setup

Moose is right...you can't eliminate your primary air filter just because you have that pre-cleaner on top of your snorkel. I have the original version of that on top of my snorkel. It looks different, but it works the same way. It definitley get most of the large particles and water out, but my air filter still gets dirty...although now it takes longer than usual because the air coming in is cleaner.

Your thread is called "Alternate Filter Setup", and you post a pic of a Donaldson pre-cleaner stating in your thread that you don't have to run an "air box" (pressumably means the can that holds your air filter in the engine compartment for most of us)...how was I supposed to understand this?
 
So what exactly is this thread? you talking to your self out loud on a forum?
