I'm usually not a fan of discount airlines but these are some great deals.

Also check out http://www.allegiantair.com/ they have round trips to Vegas for $89 dollars. That is a heck of a deal. Even have cheap flights to FL. Capt and the FL gang could just fly up for Monthly meeting.:D

Might have to get a couple tickets to Salt Lake UT. Thats just a hop skip and a jump to Yellowstone.

Airline Lowers Fares On 19 Flights From GSP

US Airways announced Tuesday that it will be cheaper for travelers departing Greenville-Spartanburg Airport to 19 destinations -- but there is a catch.

The airline said that the cost of roundtrip flights to the designated locations will be cut by as much as 44 percent, but to take advantage of the fare, travelers will have to make connections through Charlotte, Philadelphia or New York.

The reduced fare rates are available immediately.

Reduced Round-Trip Fares, Percentage Of Decrease

Albuquerque, N.M. $191 -- 28 Percent Colorado Springs, Colo. $134 -- 29 Percent El Paso, Texas $220 -- 6 Percent Denver, Colo. $164 -- 11 Percent Las Vegas $149 -- 27 Percent Los Angeles $194 -- 19 Percent Memphis, Tenn. $134 -- 11 Percent Ontario, Calif. $154 -- 44 Percent Oakland, Calif. $184 -- 43 Percent Orlando, Fla. $145 -- 10 Percent Phoenix, Ariz. $199 -- 13 Percent Portland, Ore. $209 -- 13 Percent Sacramento, Calif. $159 -- 32 Percent San Francisco $199 -- 17 Percent Salt Lake City, Utah $184 40 -- Percent San Diego, Calif. $169 -- 28 Percent San Jose, Calif. $184 -- 33 Percent Santa Ana (Orange County), Calif. $168 -- 38 Percent Seattle $184 -- 13 Percent

In a release on Tuesday, Tom Trenga, vice president, revenue management for US Airways said, "Whether you are looking for a fast paced city or small town charm, you’ll find it all in the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg. We’re very pleased to bring the citizens of these two communities lower fares to 19 destinations across the country. These new fares will allow Greenville-Spartanburg travelers the opportunity to support their hometowns, while giving them an affordable option out of their local airport."

The announcement follows Allegiant Air's June 27 announcement of the addition of nonstop flights from GSP to Las Vegas starting Aug. 23.

hmm, for that price a 4 hour drive to GSP might be worth it :)

This is timely since I need to buy tickets to SLC for a fall trip to Yellowstone but I don't see SLC as an option from GSP in that link.

Been a long day, probably user error...

Salt Lake City, Utah $184 40

Yeah, I see that in your cut / paste but SLC isn't one of the 4 destination choices from GSP in the above link.

Seems at odds with the quote in the article which is why I assumed user error...

Oh I see now. Well the ones below the link are US airways.

Yeah, that's what I figured and tried initially but those fares don't come up on the US Airways site for GSP-SLC either. I am booking a ticket for my brother as well and that's why this caught my eye.

Maybe it isn't in their system yet. No matter, I booked direct from CLT this morning.
