There are two air hoses that run into the top of my stock distributor cap on my 78 FJ40. Any idea what they do? Ane it is not the vacuum advance hose Im looking at.

Ventilation? I have a dizzy from an FJ60 and it has one vent going to the aircleaner and the other going to a vent.

Focus on the Journey
One goes to a port on the passenger side of the air filter housing and the other goes to a port on the fire wall. They serve the purpose of flowing dry air through the distributor to keep it dry inside. It works well as long as the cap still has the o-ring to seal the base of the cap.
