OT but how do you wash one of these? Hose/nozzle/. Bucket?
Thanks
Just for fun:
I did some air filter / dust testing when I worked for Polaris Ind. (Worked there for a decade, 5 years R&D). The testing was done on RZR and RANGER product lines because of high warranty claims for engine failure and oil burning. We tested thousands of miles sucking dust and testing air filtration will all sorts of fancy electronics on the trail. Also did automotive style testing in a lab with particulates in an encased test cell (same as OEM automotive testing). My co-workers called me dusty.
- The absolute BEST filtration was easily attained by any deep pleat, paper filter. Even cheap FRAM filters rock. Donaldson filters were above and beyond the best.
- The absolute WORST filtration was "K&N" style filters. New, used, out of the box, or extra oil applied - these let through TONS of particulates. They have good air flow for performance, that's it.
- The foam / oil style filter (like some dirt bikes) or oil foam wraps also helped quite a bit and work well.
- Foam over paper pleated filters ROCK, but restrict air flow.
So, I'm not familiar with the Land Cruiser washable filter, but would hesitate to use it - but that is just me. YMMV !!!!
