My Garrett 13BT / intercooler project is almost done and I'm moving on to the aircleaner/snorkel.

Anybody know of a Donaldson or similar filter housing with 2 or 2.5" in/outlets thats relatively small and sealed? I think 250 cfm will do the trick.I'm filling my engine bay fast and the filter is going to end up on the roof again soon if I'm not careful. Donaldson's wepbage sux but I'm sure they have what I need, I just need to find it.

What's Profitt's doing for the 4B in the 60s?

Yeah? Why? I might have screwed up my calculation.

did you calculate it with the amount off CI of your engine . ?

mmmm

Ok a 350 ci need 650 cfm so you have a 207 X = ( 650 x 207 ) / 350 = 384

So I always calculate a % of more air .. 17% - 18%

A 350 only needs 650 cfm if it wants to spin at 6500rpm. I expect to rarely go over 3500rpm

That's make sence ..

P.S. At 3500 rpm my 2H makes a Booooomm Sound ... :D

at 3500 I don't know what my 2H sounds like cuz if I were there I'd be busy yelling at whomever was driving my 2H....

If you do a search you will see the Fleetguard unit I used and they have many many to choose from and are much less money.

Check under "1HZ intake".

What do people think about the cyclone type OEM filter housing with the little dust cup underneath? I'm thinking of one of those for the FJ45LV when the 3BII goes in. Thay are relatively plentiful at the wreckers here.
I'm not interested in a snorkel on the LV. I'm looking for a totally stock look with a diesel heart and a mild lift!

Yes that would look so factory.

There is nothing wrong with them. Certainly well tested, strong and simple.
Filters are cheap nd plentiful;)

There are 2 types, one has the air entering through a plastic tube next to the radiator like mine on a gasser 73 series. The other type has a rubber diaphragm that fits into the fender and gets its air from inside the fender. Ive seen this type on HJ60 and HZJ 75
