I just scored an Aisin carb to replace the POS Holley thats on my pig right now... Its a 2bbl and I havent put it on yet, as I am looking for a stock aircleaner for a 72 Piggy with an "F" motor, or some sort of alternative idea that will work well... I dont think the little chrome one thats on the holley will mount up to the Aisin.. Any ideas?

I'm new to 55's but have one from a 69/70 model you can have for the cost of shipping if it will fit. Just let me know. Thanks

Be sure to measure the opening on that '69 - the early 1F air cleaners had a smaller diameter where they clamp to the carb (I had one bead-blasted and powdercoated before I realized this  ). Any cleaner from the same era 40/45/55 will work ... I picked one up on eBay for ~$10. I know Mark has a few at his shop if you're in a hurry (www.marksoffroad.net) -

Well, the carb I have came off a 1970 FJ40... The pig is a 1972.. Like I said, it is a 2bbl, and hopefully it is the same as the one that came off this pig originally (I figured there was little difference between the 2 years).. If the aircleaner Wannabecruisen has will work, I would gladly take it..

All the 1F canisters are the same - it's the opening to the carb that are different. Just measure the dia. of your carbs opening to make sure ... that's all I was saying :D

BTW - many different Aisin carbs -

I'll try to measure the one I have tomorrow afternoon. Let me know what you've got. Later - D

awesome!!

OK - the one I have has an I.D. of about 2 7/8". Will that work for you?
