Hello guys I have seen on eBay a kit of airbags that are designed to be place inside of the coils, stoppers inside the coils of course needs to removed. I currently have installed On My rig OME medium 2" coils springs I don't do any heavy off-roading so wanted to have your opinion on whether this air bag kit would make a big improvement on my rig ride. In addition have any one used this? Thanks and regards Juan. From venezuela.

Mtbchoach has it partially right. 80's have coils, not springs. The airbags reside inside the coil and help with very heavy loads and towing. If you tow, they are a great help. If not and you don't have an extraordinarily heavy rear end they will stiffen the ride some and that's about it. Been using them for years for towing and love them for that application.

Umm, 80's have coil SPRINGS, not leaf SPRINGS, the air bag is a SPRING also... :hmm:

Agreed...but when you hear springs, I think leaf and not coil.

I have them and use them for hauling my Willy's to the trail. It pretty helpful. I have the same lift and OME springs. I deflate to 5psi when not towing, otherwise it would be a stiff ride and my rear would sit higher than the front.... I haven't done any heavy off road trail with my 80 so I can't tell much of that.

Corrected for you.

I venture to guess that most "springs" in the world are in fact coil, we are in the 80 section which only have coil springs, not sure why you are beating me up on this. If this were in the 40/45/55 section, I may yield but I don't know of any 80's with leaf springs...

Different perceptions and I'm not beating you up.
