Sorry if this has been covered. But I can’t find anything and have been looking and looking for this info and can’t seem to come up with anything. 95 percent sure my pump is toast. No leaks, still need to put direct power to pump to test it. Simply asking can I buy new pump and install and bleed system? Do I need to hook up to computer to program anything?

2009 LX

The computer for the suspension is external to the pump. So no programming. Best to order from UAE or Japan.

Once you get the rear bumper off, working on it is pretty easy.

As mentioned above, make 1000% sure you prime the pump before installing it. It is NOT self priming and WILL burn out if you don't prime it.

Remove old pump, prime new pump, install it, bleed all 4 corners.

I also may be replacing my pump soon. Everything I read says to prime the new pump, but can someone explain or provide a link or video on how to do this?

I ordered one from JDM Planet. It took about three weeks to arrive but the price was good.

Also, does the rear bumper need to be removed?

If you can get all the black trim parts off without removing the bumper, then most likely not. But it will be a lot easier with it off.

Make sure you keep a close eye on the fluid reservoir while you're bleeding it, and don't suck air into the lines.

Finally came in!! Now just need some time.

Installed, bleed the system and all is back to normal!! Finally! Only a slight heart attack before I realized that the doors have to be shut before it will raise or lower. And I want to kick the engineer in the nuts who decided to put the rear bleeders in that spot.

Can you tell me how you primed or otherwise prepared the pump and reservoir? I've got the same part sitting in a box.

I put oil in it on the bench took the plug out and it started dripping out of the pump discharge. Then put 12 power to the pump on the bench and it immediately started pumping. I was very worried about this also but it was super easy. I could not really find anything that had instructions on how to do this.
