The subwoofer in my 2003 LX470 with mark levinson audio needed to be replaced, so i just put an aftermarket 12" Alpine in a separate enclosure(EDIT: With a seperate amplifier in the back) and dissconected the blown one in the side panel. I was able to get everything set up and works well, but i am not sure how to make it so the volume on the head unit controls the volume of the sub too.

Currently i just have a separate volume control mounted near the steering wheel, that is connected to the line output converter in the back of the head unit. It would be nice if anyone has done this, to see how you made the volume work as i feel that the separate volume knob has some limitations... I was thinking i may have to do something with the ML amp under the passenger seat but I am not sure...

any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

normally that is controlled the amp, how much power(watts) to push to the SUB, i'm not sure if the OEM amps can control that though
