Looks awesome! Jealous I didn't go this route, and actually use and enjoy the rig...

Thanks for the props. This build had to be a rolling one. I didn't want something immobile taking up space for too long. Plus I get to drive and wheel it as I go.;)

I picked up some door opening weather strip from local shop today. It fits pretty dam good. Then I replaced the door strikers (thanks orangefj45) and did some adjusting. Now the doors don't rattle when closed.:grinpimp:

The weatherstripping looks great! Did you do the tailgate opening, also? More info on the weatherstripping, please. My LV needs some of that, badly....

Yes, please more info on weather stripping for the record so we can find it later when we all get to that point. which could be never at the rate my build is going. it does look very nice and the fit looks original. please post all the specific details for us all. Thanks

I'll post up in detail all the weather strip info as soon as I have it all....or most.

In the meantime, here's the bump stops I mounted up to keep the tires from rubbing too badly. Going to do some wheeling tomorrow near one of our larger lakes.....Lake Pleasant. Pix soon:popcorn:

Of course you need springs to lift a vehicle (coming at a later date). But when you want to keep stuff from rubbing too badly at it's current height, you limit up travel......hence the bump stops. Mine had none before this.
They have now been tested off road. I still heard minor rubbing but nothing that will cause damage.:D

Some corner rust repair. Forgot the before and progress pix. Last one is of the other side that I will tackle today.

next step is paint :D

No paint anytime soon. Here's the other side all patched up. This side was kinda tough as there is a lot of denting. I wasn't interested in getting it totally straight. Just wanted to patch the rust whole. Minimal bondo.....just alittle wavy now;)

Made some door panels out of repurposed work stuff. I plan to weld up those wholes in the door corners when I take the doors apart to re weather strip. Still haven't bought all needed rubber yet.

I guess you can't flip u-bolts now?

Swapped out the tailgates. No more Afro man.......but this tailgate is in great shape with no major rust or dents. Also has the complete og handle. I was even able to transfer the emblem over. It was bent pretty bad, but straightened out decently. Still need to find the other large emblem for the other side. Anybody got a spare to sell or trade?:grinpimp:
