... and we took the Chrysler convertible on a trip to Jerome 1998 ... great trip as always.
Was the time when you used printed road maps.
View attachment 2069798 ..........and a film in the camera..enjoy.

Actually, I picked up a few 1961 roads maps to keep in the glove box of my 1961 FJ40.

I love old maps. I even have several huge in my house as decor.

Great pics Jack, looks like a cool Canyon.

Took the wagon up to Mt Ord today. Mount Ord is a mountain summit located in the Tonto National Forest on the northeastern edge of Maricopa County, Arizona in the Mazatzal mountain range. Its height is 7,128 feet

There's a large communication site on top with a fire watch tower as well. Super cool views of both Lake Roosevelt and Bartlett Lake.

The rebuilt carb and cold air intake were a big fail. No bueno. I decided to try a $70 Chinese repop carb now. Got it installed today. Starts up easily and the first test drive went well. No popping or sputtering.

I tried one of those carbs just because they are $65 shipped! Have had no problems and runs great! I have to ask, as I am a reptile nerd and love snakes! You must have crossed paths with some rattlesnakes? Mountain kings? Gopher snakes, hila monsters? Very jealous of your desert exploration.

Yes, I have come across numerous desert dwellers. I try to stay away for the most part though. Mostly rattle snakes. I have seen a couple other types too. Seen 1 Gila Monster. Saw a giant centepede last weekend.
Lots of animals too. One of the perks of AZ is the many different types of landscape.

Wagon adventures takes on an epic trip up the "Desert to Tall Pines Hiway" to Young. It's really just a dirt road with some patches of pavement. Had a side trip up to an old Asbestos Mine. That trail was a bit rough for the wagon, but I made it. Then camped out on a huge cliff over looking Lake Roosevelt.
