That was a great read Jack! Love this pic of the LV. Keep the travel photos of your local coming!

Got the doors all torn down. They have some cracks that need welding but are amazingly rust/rot free. Even the bottom edge is in great shape. I got new regulators ordered and all new weather strip, new lock and key too. These should be nice when I get done with them.

I have accumulated more Toyota tools and another canvas roll of the the correct vintage. Working on getting 2 complete sets together. This one pictured is complete except for the grease gun.....(pretty sure)

@JackA excellent pic, betting that is one of Jays? Very cool write up as well. Was at Gold King Mine Saturday

Yeah that pic is from the article.

Took the 40 on it's first official over night wheeling and camping trip. Not really sure on the mileage as the odometer is still being lame. Probably around 150 miles total with about 1/2 being dirt and some rougher stuff. We had lunch in Crown King then headed to camp in the pines.
I cruised with the windshield down and the 40 tractored along like a champ. Good times.

Found some reflectors much like the ones that were trashed and I removed. I see them in early Toyota photos. Where they a dealer add on or a requirement when being imported? I added the rear one but I am going to skip the side ones.

Thanks to @murf, the Copper State Cruisers and Camelback Toyota for putting on a nice show and shine with a Veterans donation drive. My Dad and I brought both the 40 and LV down for the show. There was a nice variety from the old to the new. I didn't get too many pix though.....was busy talking Cruisers all morning.

Nice, seems your neck of the woods does a lot of events, shows, etc. Nothing like that around my way. Thanks for posting.

There's a fair amount of shows. Mostly this time of year due to the nice weather. Good Guys is next weekend and that has become sort of a tradition with me and the wagon. This will be year 4 of the show and the wagon being on the road. Good times.

I picked up some new bumperettes, mirror and arm for the 40. New ones much better than bent ones.

Had a camp out at one of our wheeling spots this weekend. Buggys hit the big rocks and lite duty crew hit the dusty trail. Good times.
