Advice??

I've been checking out IH8MUD for a little over a year now...got my '89 FJ62 in Feb of last year and just found out my tranny is blown.

What should I do...were lookin' at at least $4K for a rebuilt installed probably more like 5k and there's no way I can do that.

Anyone want it for parts?

Any other suggestions?

I'm pretty bummed as you can imagine.

One of these and a factory service manual to do it yourself, or have a local shop install it.

I'll check out both suggestions and see if it'll be doable....about what would a garage charge to put in one in?

fix it first on the cheap via used tranny, hell throw a manual in there to save even more.

you'll make atleast double your money back as compared to if you sold it as is. and that's a modest figure. cars with blown trannys and motors go for next to nothing, that's why i buy so many of them and fix them myself
